2. Conformance Status
The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) defines requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. It defines three levels of conformance: Level A, Level AA, and Level AAA.
Gainz is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 level AA. Partially conformant means that some parts of the content do not fully conform to the accessibility standard.
3. Technical Specifications
Accessibility of Gainz relies on the following technologies:
- HTML5 with semantic elements
- WAI-ARIA for dynamic content
- CSS with prefers-reduced-motion support
- JavaScript with keyboard event handlers
These technologies are relied upon for conformance with the accessibility standards used.
4. Known Limitations
Despite our best efforts to ensure accessibility, there may be some limitations. Below is a description of known limitations:
- Third-party content: Some embedded content from third parties may not be fully accessible
- Older browsers: Some features may not work optimally in browsers older than 2 years
- Complex charts: Some data visualizations in the app may have limited screen reader descriptions
